A competition launched by the Omani government in Al Sarooj area. It is a grouping of cafes indoor/ outdoor on two levels and opening on souk like passages interconnecting and leading to a central court as an oasis. The challenge was to create a protective environment, shaded and ventilated naturally where people can meet protected from the nuisance of a harsh climate far from a closed mall concept.
